A Ride, A Dream, and a Moment to Keep

A couple riding a motorcycle at night in front of the World Trade Center (WTC) in Bangalore, with city lights illuminating the road and buildings.
A peaceful nighttime motorcycle ride through the bustling streets of Bangalore, passing the towering WTC building. A ride filled with conversations, dreams, and a much-needed escape from the city's chaos.

Some moments in life feel like dreams, so perfect, so real, yet so fleeting. This is one such moment, a simple ride that became a cherished memory.

A Surprise That Felt Like a Dream

I was having snacks with my office friends when a message popped up:

"Hey, I want to go out."

Without a second thought, I replied, "Okay, I’ll come in 30 minutes."

Reaching her office through Bengaluru’s traffic was a task, but my heart was already on the road, racing toward her.

The Ride That Felt Right

She sat behind me and said, "My head feels heavy, I just need some peace. Let’s go somewhere."

I suggested the airport, our usual refreshing ride. But this time, she wanted something different, somewhere to sit, breathe, and talk.

She picked World Trade Center, Yeshwanthpur, and we started our journey.

Conversations That Made the Night

She spoke about work stress, salary delays, and the pressure of upcoming changes. I listened, knowing I couldn’t change things but wishing I could.

We reached WTC, parked the bike, and walked toward the rooftop restaurant. But hunger led us to Orion Mall, where she had pizza while talking to her mother. Watching her laugh, even for those 15 minutes, was a moment I wouldn’t trade for anything.

She spoke about switching jobs, her sister’s upcoming wedding, and how life was moving too fast.

A Simple Dream We Both Share

A couple sits by a peaceful reflecting pool at night, engaged in a heartfelt conversation, with city lights and a fountain glowing in the background.
Some conversations don’t need daylight, just the right person, a quiet place, and the magic of the night.

At 10:30 PM, we sat in front of the fountain outside WTC.

A warm and intimate moment where one person gently offers a cozy winter coat and gloves to another, symbolizing care, love, and protection in a softly lit, candle-lit setting.
Sometimes, love isn’t in words but in small, thoughtful gestures, like offering warmth on a cold night.

The cold breeze made her shiver, so I gave her my shirt and gloves.

Looking at the luxury apartments across the street, she said, "I’d like to stay there for a day or two, but I prefer a simple home, with a garden and a dog."

I smiled because that’s exactly what I want too.

The Best Ending to a Perfect Day

We rode back. Near her home, we had juice before parting ways.

At her place, she did her nightly routine, and I waited. I wanted to ask, "Shall I massage your head with oil?" but I was scared she’d say no.

But then she came back with an oil bottle, and I knew, this was the moment I had been waiting for.

Massaging her head and feet, sitting beside her as she drifted to sleep, and later holding her hand, this was more than a dream. It was happiness.

A Ride, A Dream, and Us

You wanted a ride, a break from the day,
Without a thought, I was on my way.

But honestly, this was my dream too,
To ride with you, under the evening view.

You spoke of work, of stress, of delay,
I listened, hoping it’d all go away.

With you behind, my heart felt light,
Every turn, every mile felt just right.

You spoke of dreams, a simple life free,
A home with a garden, just how it should be.

And I smiled, because that’s mine too,
A peaceful life, just me and you.

Later that night, in quiet embrace,
I held your hand, my happiest place.

Morning: A Prayer and a Simple Meal

I woke up first and freshened up. When she woke up, I asked, "Coffee or tea?" even though I knew she wouldn’t have anything.

I just wanted to do something for her.

She did her Saturday pooja while I silently prayed, "Please, God, let us be together forever."

A cozy breakfast scene featuring a bowl of nutritious ragi porridge topped with banana slices, almonds, and sesame seeds, accompanied by a glass and bottle of milk, a bowl of almonds, and fresh fruits on a wooden table. A person in a warm sweater is gently holding the glass of butter milk.
A peaceful morning starts with a wholesome meal. A bowl of ragi porridge, fresh fruits, and almonds, simple, nourishing, and filled with warmth.

She made Raagi Ganji with buttermilk, soaked almonds, raisins, carrots, oranges, and bananas, a perfect meal for a fitness freak like me.

She said, "I’m bad at cooking. I didn’t make anything tasty."

I smiled and replied, "This is more than enough."

A delicate pink bougainvillea flower growing by the roadside, gently touched by a person's hand in soft golden sunlight. Fallen petals and dried pine needles surround it, adding a sense of fleeting beauty.
Bougainvillea flower for her

After breakfast, she left for the office, and I rode back. But before that, I stopped and picked a Bougainvillea flower for her, because she deserves more than words.

A Silent Vow: A Journey of Love and Togetherness

Marriage is not just a ceremony; it’s a sacred promise to walk together through every season of life. More Than Just Being Together Marriage is often defined by traditions, expectations, and societal norms. But at its core, marriage is not just about being together, it’s about growing together. It’s a silent vow, a promise that needs no reminders, yet holds the strength to last a lifetime. Many ask, "What changes after marriage?" For me, the answer is simple: It’s not just about holding hands; it’s about never letting go. 1. Marriage Is More Than Just Presence True love isn’t about waiting for a call, it’s about making sure they never feel the need to call in the first place. My love for her has always been about being there, without being asked. Marriage is not just a ceremony, it’s a commitment. It’s not just words, it’s actions that never fade. It’s waking up every day and choosing each other. 2. Beyond Togetherness: The Journey of Growth We already share our lives, our co...

The Dark Side of Instagram: How Soft Porn Fuels a Dangerous Cycle

Social media algorithms act as unseen forces, carefully curating content to keep users engaged, even if it means feeding them an endless stream of addictive or harmful material. ⚠ Reader Discretion Advised: This article explores the impact of suggestive content and social media addiction. While it does not contain explicit material, it may be sensitive for younger audiences. 1. A Real-Life Crime Story On December 2024, Luigi Mangione, a 26-year-old from Pennsylvania, was arrested for the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan.  Before this, Luigi had shared deep fears about online pornography, social media, and video games ruining his life. He believed technology was enslaving people, leading him down a dark path of obsession and violent thoughts. This case is just one of many that highlight how social media’s unfiltered content, especially soft porn can influence minds and drive extreme behaviors. But what if I told you that this starts with something as simple...

In Shiva’s Hands, I Let Go – A Maha Shivaratri Reflection

Some things are beyond me, but never beyond Shiva. Tonight, I leave my hopes, doubts, and prayers in his hands. In surrender, I find peace. Har Har Mahadev. The Weight of What We Cannot Control There comes a time in life when we realize that no matter how hard we try, some things remain beyond our grasp. Love, destiny, relationships, and unanswered prayers, they all slip through our fingers like sand.  We hold on, we hope, we fight, yet sometimes, all we can do is surrender. Today, on the sacred night of Maha Shivaratri, I choose to do just that. Not just in tradition, but in spirit, I fast, I reflect, and I leave everything in Shiva’s hands. Why I Chose to Fast on Maha Shivaratri Many observe fasting today to honor Lord Shiva. Some seek blessings, some pray for love, success, or salvation. But my fast is different. It is not for wishes or rewards. It is my way of stepping back from everything I cannot control. I began my fast at 11:08 AM today, and it will end at 8:54 AM tomorrow....
